Lots of whoosh circulating well-nigh the new Tim Burton series based on The Adam’s Family that is hitting Netflix next month – and from the squint of this trailer that just dropped, that whoosh is well warranted.
From the printing release:
“New notation are revealed in the official trailer for WEDNESDAY, an upcoming Netflix series from the imagination of Tim Burton. WEDNESDAY — starring Jenna Ortega in the title role, slantingly Catherine Zeta-Jones, Luis Guzman, Gwendoline Christie, Christina Ricci and increasingly — is a sleuthing, supernaturally infused mystery charting Wednesday Addams’ years as a student at Nevermore Academy. Snap snap.”
The big reveal was of undertow Fred Armisen taking on the role of Uncle Fester – which I view as a masterful stroke of casting.
Official Synopsis:
“The series is a sleuthing, supernaturally infused mystery charting Wednesday Addams’ years as a student at Nevermore Academy. Wednesday’s attempts to master her emerging psychic ability, thwart a monstrous killing spree that has terrorized the local town, and solve the supernatural mystery that embroiled her parents 25 years ago — all while navigating her new and very tangled relationships at Nevermore.”
Got a bit of a wait still for this one – it hits Netflix on Nov. 23rd.
